Gotta say I'm surprised at the lack of votes on Victorian Era. I don't read the Fiction section much, but that seems to be the time most historical sneeze fics take place in with the silk handkerchiefs and lovely fashion.

I think it would have to be Victorian era for me!! I definitely think a lot about royalty being waited on by a crowd of servants while sick/ allergic and sneezing

Unsurprisingly for anyone who's somewhat familiar with me, my vote would be for what most people call the Regency era, but which I call the French Revolution-Napoleonic War era (probably starting in the 1760's and ending around 1815, at least in my head). That's because, as I've mentioned in other contexts, that era is a fetishy goldmine. Consider:

*Snuff (powdered tobacco) was in vogue, and it famously makes people sneeze if they're unfamiliar with how to use it.

*People wrote with quill pens, aka feathers.

*Feathers were a popular decoration for the hair. I'm pretty sure flowers were popular too.

*Women not only used a lot of face powder (and probably used those fuzzy powderpuffs to do it), but both men and women would powder their hair until it turned white. I have to imagine a lot of that powder would wind up in the air over the course of the evening...

*Most light came from candles, so perhaps the smoke could set certain sensitive people off.

And that's just a few possibilities! Now add in the fact that the clothes of that era are gorgeous, and that sounds like a series of clips that I'd enjoy the hell out of.

Yeah I would even add that any time between about 1650-1820 would be pretty grand

Oh for sure, but I guess I meant more like one made for actual sneeze fetish purposes or recordings of casual sneezes, etc. Either way there should be a lot more than there is already. 🤣
