strong sneeze32
This is an observation about my university friend A. She was short, with straight brown hair, a delicate face, and a small but sensitive nose. She has severe allergies and on most days I can observe her sneezing 3 to 4 times a day. The most shocking thing is her sneezes, which are big, loud and wet. She often tries to stifle them, but her sneezes are still very loud. I noticed all this in my first month of college, and I've even gotten a little used to it now. Until last week... We went to a lecture in a newly built lecture hall last Thursday afternoon. The lecture hall is large enough to accommodate about 300 people, and it has a set of ceiling microphones. A ceiling microphone is a microphone mounted on the ceiling, which is very sensitive and can amplify the sound from all positions in the lecture hall. About 30 minutes into the lecture, two thunderous sneezes erupted in the lecture hall. “HAAAAAAAAAASHOOOOOOOO! HUUUUESHOOOOOO!” Her already big sneeze, amplified by the microphone, became surprisingly loud. The professor was obviously shocked by these two huge sneezes and was silent for about 5 seconds before continuing his lecture. My university friend A covered her face with his hands and looked a little embarrassed After that, I couldn't pay attention to the professor during the whole lecture. After about another 20min, I noticed she was rubbing her nose. After about 30 seconds of rubbing, she pinched her nose instead, as if to stop a sneeze from blasting. But soon, she gave in to her itchy nose “HUH-EEEEEEESHOOOOOOOOO!” She released a colossal sneeze, deafening in the enclosed space. Link to comment
Motgen
Great obs! We definitely had notorious sneezers in my university program - lots of people commented on them, almost to the point of discomfort on my end 😅 Lecture halls are not forgiving to loud sneezes! Link to comment
Melody
Nice obs! Lecture halls really are the best places to hear sneezes it’s so echoey 😅I was in a humanities program so I always saw an abundance of female sneezing. Link to comment
