Hi! I'm new here and I have an observation

Hi! I'm new here and I wanted to introduce myself with a little observation, as this is (along with fanfics and art) my favorite thing to read on the page. I advance that I am Spanish, so my English probably leaves a lot to be desired.

So, we will call the protagonist of the story M. He is my crush from university. He is a sunshine, very cheerful, always laughing, inveterate optimist, and always takes care of me. I have a very special relationship with him. We are not a couple because he doesn't want a girlfriend, but I am very in love with him (for my luck or my misfortune; in this case, luck). He is a blond boy with long hair (to the shoulders), gray or green eyes (depending on the light), thin, 1.70 m. It's really cold in Spain now, so he always wears a corduroy trench coat or similar (he dresses very elegant, and acts like that too). I emphasize that he has very long fingers (which I find particularly sexy and elegant, "pianist fingers", I always tell him).

M has hay fever, and I'm sure that when spring arrives, I'll be able to share a few more observations. But in winter or when it's cold, he also tends to catch cold easily (he never gets really sick, he has a strong immune system, but he does runny nose and sneeze a lot). The day of the story in question we had computer class. We were back to back on computers, so I couldn't see his face. His sneezes are usually forceful, strong but controlled, something like "Aghtshu!" or "Ugtshu!" , and they usually come with a bit of a buildup (sometimes it has false starts as well). Going back to class, I am a person who talks a lot, especially to him. I remember we had just finished a conversation when he turned around, returning his attention to the screen, when he sneezed two much more contained sneezes than usual (I love a stifled sneeze, but this one wasn't stifled but soft). The sound would be something like "gH-tSshh!" A second's pause and... "Gsh-sh!" As if he didn't want to disturb the professor's explanation, and the sneezes had left him exhausted and deflated. I melted and blessed him, as I usually do, with a "Salud". Then he blew his nose into a handkerchief, and did so several more times during class.

Then, an hour later, we went out to break. We were talking in a group (my group of friends is about six people) and one of them was talking about how she couldn't sleep well at night, when I saw him inhale. His pre-sneeze expression was very evident: his mouth opens slightly, his eyes narrow, and he raises his arm to his face. He usually covers his sneezes in the crook of his elbow (he's very polite) or in a handkerchief. He sneezed once, and when he was about to sneeze again, the sneeze stopped when something my friend (the one who was speaking) said made him laugh. I felt a little upset, but not even ten seconds passed before he sneezed twice more. He usually sneezes two or three times, and I would die to see him in a sneezing fit once, as I think the most I've ever seen him sneeze was four times.

These four times it was in a restaurant that we went to where it was quite cold. I remember that he sneezed, not in succession but in a short period of time, four times (perhaps more, I don’t remember well), and then he put on his jacket and said: "Oh, I’m catching a cold" (or something like that but in Spanish XD). And I almost died. I love to ask him when he sneezes a lot if he's okay, or if he's sick. I do not know why ❤️

Hope you like it! 🥰😋

Welcome to the forum!

It's a great observation, a sneeze interrupted by laughing is so cute.

By the way, in my opinion, you don't need to worry about your English!

Like you, I am not a native English speaker, and your sentences are much better than mine.

Looking forward to your new works!:laugh2:

What  a fabulous series of observations :  Thank you so much for all the detail.  Your friend must be quite a frequent sneezer.   And of course welcome to the forum !
