sneezeguy468
This could go either way. If you're the sneezer, do you mind other people saying things like "gesundheit" or "salud" even though they only speak English? For some reason, that irks me. Or if you're just hearing them bless someone else, does it kinda grind your gears a little bit when they don't stick to "bless you" or related forms? Link to comment
FadedRose
It depends. Any variation of bless you- like “bless you”, “bless” doesn’t bother me. Salud doesn’t bother me either. But “blesh you” and “gesundheit” both really get to me. I think it’s because people say both these two with an ungodly amount of enthusiasm, and/or try to be really funny when they do it, which makes a sneeze more embarrassing than it has to be. Also a lot of my family says “blesh you”, so it makes me cringe every time I hear it, no matter who it comes from. Edited February 8, 2022 by FadedRose I used the word bother like 10 times in one sentence and it really BOTHERED me. Link to comment
bingochamp7
@FadedRose You took the words right out of my mouth, especially with Blesh you. Sometimes my family members say this and it’s SO cringe. Also wanted to add that I like hearing others say bless you to another person. I don’t care much for gesundheit but I do like Salud in specific contexts and I especially like A tes souhaits, but only when someone else is saying it to another person. bloom
i hate gesundheit (coming from english speakers) so much that i have told people (who did not know of my fetish) not to say it to me in the past Link to comment
Melody
I don’t really care what people say to a sneezer who I’m not attracted to. If I am attracted to the sneezer or am the sneezer myself, I hate the word gesundheit because it’s so harsh… it takes away the erotic appeal of the sneeze process for me if someone says anything other than bless you. Bless you sounds much more sincere and sexy in a way? If they say anything other than bless you Id rather them say nothing lolz Link to comment
Photic
I used to say gesundheit but I don't say anything anymore. I'm not religious so saying "bless you" doesn't really make sense. I think the whole thing is archaic. On the other hand I'm grateful that many others still do it because it makes finding sneezes online substantially easier. lol Link to comment

I'm afraid to admit that I didn't even realize that I grew up saying "blesh you" instead of "bless you." I guess in my mind that was just how you say it and I never thought about it. Now I'm very cognizant of the difference haha. Link to comment

Idk they sound like they're trying to show off how worldly or cultured they are 😂. Link to comment
