Sneeze Forum Frenzy (F)

Have gone a bit meta with this fic as both the SFF and myself turn up in it! I wanted to write something that reminded me of when I used to surreptitiously get on the family computer to look up sneezing material - happy memories :D

Sneeze Forum Frenzy (F)

Chrissy snuck a final surreptitious glance over her shoulder, straining her ears to catch any hint of movement from above. The house seemingly held its breath, not a single creak or hum emanated from its darkened hulk; no suggestion that her parents or sister were awake. She turned back to the glowing rectangle of the family computer in front of her, the cursor dancing in it’s white corridor of a search bar. Against her better judgment, she took the plunge and typed SNEEZE FETISH FORUM into Google, then Enter; the screen coming alive with thrilling links.

She had not believed it when the battery had died on her laptop, and she had dug around in vain in her bag for the charging cable, already knowing that she had left it plugged in behind her desk at home. The family Christmas get-together was already off to a crappy start, and now despite being nearly 30, she was creeping around like a teenager with her parents’ ancient home computer. She was surprised they weren’t still on dial-up.

The thing was, Chrissy just had to get online. A mere two months ago, she had been idly unaware that she was not the only one who got a thrill for sneezing. The internet had always been a place of research and work, not a place where she permitted herself to explore it’s darker pleasures. However, last summer had been particularly hard for hay fever sufferers and Chrissy’s housemate had been no exception. Every day the poor redhead had treated her to spectacular allergic fits of high-volume sneezes, and Chrissy had started to feel her fetish go into overdrive. She had found herself searching SNEEZING online, and it was only a matter of time before she stumbled upon the Sneeze Fetish Forum. Mind. Blown.

She had signed up, with only a hint of trepidation. She had chosen a username [SnzyChic93] and started posting immediately. She had finally built up the courage to put up her first story, and had clicked ‘post’ right before she was due to catch the train home for the holidays, planning to check if anyone had replied when she got online at her parents expense. Hence the battery disaster. Her technophobic ways meant her phone was an archaic Nokia - texts and calls only, and she now cursed her digital snobbery. The parental computer was the only way to go. She just had to.

Once on the site, Chrissy felt the familiar thrill as she allowed her eyes to run down the updates, seeing the growingly recognisable names of other members flash before her. She decided to read some of the observations first, and clicked on one that jumped out at her, posted by a member called NoV. She read the first few lines, then froze.

A sly little tickle was starting up in her nose. Chrissy rubbed a finger beneath her nostrils, intensifying the motion as the tickle grew in irritation and strength. Her sneezes could pack a powerful punch when they came, easily enough to alert other members of the house that she was up and about, and invite the inevitable questioning.

‘Hehhh….hheehhhhh…’ she began, her chest rising and falling rapidly within her loose cotton t-shirt. She pinched her nostrils together, the tickle now more of a burn that was filling her entire nose. All at once, she knew she was unable to hold it back, it was just too powerful and explosive. She brought both hands up to her face and gave a tremendous sneeze, messily muffled, her short blond hair showering her face with its strands.

‘HAARUUMMPPHHHHH!!!’

Chrissy froze, still holding her face in her hands. In her imagination, the sneeze was echoing around the house like a thunderclap. For minutes she held herself still, not daring to breathe, ears desperately seeking the sounds of footsteps on the floor above, but they never came. Gradually she allowed herself to relax, one hand finding the mouse again and daring to scroll down further.

Although Chrissy was not a sneezy person, something she had noticed since the discovery of the online sneeze community was her propensity to sneeze when reading about, watching or listening to sneezes on the internet. Something about the excitement and thrill of sneeze material sent tantalizing tickles to her nose, and the need to explode became undeniable. Even as she allowed her eyes to drift across the page before her, she felt a familiar tingle rise up, and knew she was going to have to sneeze again.

‘Heeeh…hhhaaaaaaahhh….’

It began to build up, Chrissy’s nostrils flaring as her head tilted backwards in preparation for the coming. Her large eyes squinted with each wave of intensifying itch. Desperately she pinched her nose, her other hand steadying herself by grasping the edge of the desk. It was no good. The sneeze was simply too powerful to hold in, and with a body-contorting jerk, Chrissy sneezed!

‘HAAAATTCCHHOOOUUMMPHHH!!!’

Despite her vain efforts to stifle it, most of the sneeze burst out of her before her final muffling. The need to release it was simply too much. Chrissy wished fitfully that she had inherited the quiet, almost imperceptible sneezes of her mother, but it seemed that this particular set of genes had been reserved for her sister.

Footsteps sounded upstairs; the unmistakable sound of the bathroom door opening and closing. Chrissy held her breath, trying not to focus on the ghost of a tickle that was still dancing about in her nose, ready to come roaring forth when she gave it the slightest chance.

No, she thought. I simply can’t let myself. But the warm, fuzzy feeling of the sneezy sensation was becoming a blanket wrapping itself around her, and that she wanted nothing more than to sink into and surrender to. She began to succumb to her pre-sneeze sounds.

‘Hhaaaahhhh… HHAAAAAAHHHH….   AAHHHAAAAAA…’

It was coming upon her much more insistently, its strength and violence like nothing she had known before. Desperately she scrambled to shut down the window before the fusilade of sneezing overtook her. Her head took a series of increasingly uncontrollable jerks, as the urge came and went, putting her in a frenzy of building false starts that she knew would eventually have only one outcome.

‘HAAAAHHHH…  HHIIIIIIII…..  AAAATTTTTAAAA….’

And suddenly the sneezing was upon her, explosion and after explosion blasting out of her, echoing through the midnight hush of the house.

‘HHAATTCHOOOO!!! HHHAAAAATTCCHOOOO!!!! WHHAATTCCCHHOOOOO!!!’

The sneezes were coming thick and fast, barely enough time to gasp between each increasingly violent release. Chrissy was not even bothering to cover, just holding tight to the armrests of her chair as her petite frame rocked backwards and forwards with each build and sneeze. So utterly had the fit taken control of her that her forehead almost knocked against her knees with the force of each contortion.

‘WWAAHHIITTCCHHOOOO… IITTCCHHOOOO…!!!’

With a final, cataclysmic double, Chrissy felt the frenzied tickle fade away, and she slumped back feeling exhausted and faint. The soft glow of the computer screen illuminated her flushed cheeks, her nose still twitching from its recent exertions. She reached out and finally managed to shut down the window, taking the time to clear her search history. And just in time, for the door to the study was creaking open to reveal her mother, a concerned look on her face.

‘What are you doing here sweetie, you’re catching your death. Get back upstairs in the warm, or you’ll make that cold ten times worse.’

Sniffling to herself, Chrissy nodded. The Sneeze Forum would have to wait.

Wow, this was a great story that simultaneously served as a sort of a blast to the past because I definitely remember starting out using the old family computer. Keep the great work.

For what it is [it's a] good story. It ended too soon for me.

Exactly right! Would love to see a sequel; maybe even a whole series.
