Millie_Mack
I have seen people ask for the worst cold. So I’m here to ask what was your best one. prompt questions: - did you enjoyed being sick? Why? - what symptoms did you had? - what time of the year did you got sick? - do you know where do you catch it? or, if you catch it from someone? - anyone catch it from you? Link to comment
kokosneezes
I had a cold a few years ago that I quite enjoyed. I didn't feel too awful, mainly just really tired with a sore throat. But the sneezing fits that came with it were too good. And I never get allergies or anything so I try to enjoy them when they happen. It was a winter cold I got from a friend (thankfully I didn't pass it onto anyone else.) Being sick kinda sucked, but having an excuse to take a few days off work while lying in bed sneezing wasn't the worst thing that's for sure. Link to comment
Chanel_no5
I once had a cold that I would characterise as an ideal cold. I don't remember exactly when or the circumstances, but it wasn't recent, that's for sure. It was brief, a few days and no secondary crap, only symptoms were nose-based plus a headache, and a pretty significant fever. My main issue with getting sick is the sore throat and cough, because once I start coughing I keep at it for weeks and often need antibiotics to kick the secondary infections. However, unlike normal people, I actually enjoy having a fever. It's the one time that my panicky brain slows down, and I can actually sleep without taking pills. I even tend to have less nightmares when I have a fever, everything just shuts down. I don't care much for my own sneezes, but I'll take that over a cough ANY day. (as long as I don't have to go out in public... which I didn't. And I didn't pass it on to anyone else either.) So yeah. If I could get that kind of cold when I get a cold, I'm all for it. Never had another one like it though. Edited March 17, 2022 by Chanel_no5 Link to comment
Trynasneeze
A good few years ago now, I caught a summer cold (which typically kinda suck) but aside from a slight scratchy throat right at the start all the symptoms were pretty much nose related. I can handle those, I'm just not a fan of coughs, sore throats, fevers, aches. And this had none of those. But boy was I sneezy. I think this cold lasted about four days and at the peak i probably sneezed about fifty times in one day. And aside from that I just had a runny/blocked nose that I had to keep blowing all the time. Aside from keeping the nose under control though, I felt great, lots of energy, etc etc Link to comment
bingochamp7
My best cold was the one I caught last year over Christmas break. I actually liked being sick because I stayed in for the most part and was able to get comfortable and watch a lot of TV. I had the typical symptoms which were sore throat, stuffy and runny nose, sneezing, and constantly feeling like I was going to sneeze. I don’t know where I caught it, but I can tell you that staying up late at night watching TV for 2 weeks straight prior to Christmas break certainly didn’t help. No one caught it from me because I wore masks when I went out and I stifled the sneezes for the most part. Link to comment
Millie_Mack
I think the common denominator are the sneezes Link to comment
