i'm still new to this

I found an old diary entry about a cold(?) I caught on a family trip (I have no idea how old I was. Apparently, it was something worth documenting to me at the time... which I think is uh,, very telling). I'm still new to this site so I'm trying to post more but I'm a little anxious.

Anyway, so it began with a scratchy throat mid-journey. We stopped by this church along the way for sight-seeing and someone told me to chug holy water, convincing me that I would be healed the next day. I was already dealing with scrupulous thoughts since someone (redacted) teased me that I was getting sick because of "karma" (I snapped at them, forgot the reason) so that was really helpful... and guess what? I woke up the next day at 5 am with an excruciatingly sore throat which led to a bad cold (the plane ride home was fun) 👍

Head colds on a plane are the worst. I once came down with one the day before a 24 hour flight
