Trynasneeze
Some of you may have read about my fiancee having a head cold a couple weeks ago, which I then caught. It only lasted for three days with me. But it was very sudden and symptomatic. I woke up on the Sunday with a sore throat and a runny nose. It was quite a light runny nose most of the time but every time I sneezed (which was probably about 30 times that day) I would need to go and blow my nose. By the time evening came, I'd started feeling quite congested and was having to blow my nose more and more. The following day (Monday) was the worst of them. My nose was non stop running all day and I was having to sneeze (a lot of doubles, big wet sneezes) probably every 20-30 minutes. I'd forgotten about my new hankies the day before but I had to go into work this day so I stuck a couple in my pocket (and they got very well used) and used two more when I got home in the afternoon/evening. My nose was so runny/blocked/sneezy I was just having to blow it all day long. The third day (Tuesday) I was much less sneezy, but my nose was still very runny when I woke up and still needed blowing a lot. I was able to work from home this day, which was a relief. I still had half a box of extra large "man-size" tissues from a few months ago when I had another cold so I got those out and was using them to blow my nose all day. By afternoon my nose stopped being so runny but the blows became very productive. When I went to sleep I was feeling a lot less snotty although still quite congested. When I woke up the next day there was a hint of congestion and a slight sniffle but otherwise the cold was gone. Link to comment
Rick
Bless you, that sounds like quite the cold, with your poor nose runny, tickly and blocked all at the same time. I know what you mean about having to blow after a sneeze with a cold - I'm the same, not only do I need to empty my nose after a sneeze, but a good hard nose-blow really scratches the itches. Sounds like you coped with the sneezies very well, and were managing to blow everything out, though? Link to comment
