Woman with a cold

I was in a cafe this morning having my morning cup of coffee. 

A few minutes after I sat down I noticed the lady at the table beside me blowing her nose. 

This lady was probably a few years older than me (mid-late 30s I'd say). She was out for coffee/lunch with an older gentleman, her dad by the looks of it. 

The lady had her hair cut fairly short and wore glasses, and she blew her nose into a small pink gingham hanky. 

About 2 minutes later she blew her nose again, so I kept an eye on her. They stayed at the table about 15 more minutes during which I don't think her hanky ever left her hand. She was blowing her nose softly about once a minute and every so often covering her mouth with the hanky to cover her coughs. 

A few minutes before they left she did sneeze once, "HEH-TCHOO!" into the hanky before coughing a couple times and then blowing her nose. 

 

Meanwhile I was sitting at the next table over, subtly watching, enjoying my coffee, and dealing with my own stuffy nose (I currently have a cold too).

Oooh wow.... Nice observation. That would've been nice to see.

How is your cold? Did you use your handkerchief too ?

My cold is still going strong unfortunately. No haha, I forgot to bring a hanky with me to the cafe but my nose did get 2-3 blows on some brown paper serviettes while I was there.

Nice obs, I’d so loved to of seen that. So rare now for any ladies never mind young ladies using handkerchiefs.
