Italiangirl Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 (edited) Hi guys! Just a quick survey... Do you like hearing a stuffy voice? Both in cold talkies on Youtube and irl (in other people though). Obviously I mean the typical deeper, husky voice you get with a bad cold when all your m's and n's sound like b's and d's. Personally, I love it! I find it really hot! I think that's also the reason why I enjoy talkies so much. Also, does this happen to you as well? When I get a cold I almost immediately get a stuffy voice. What I mean by that is that as soon as my nasal symptoms start my voice starts to sound stuffy (m's and n's sounding like b's and d's): when I only have a runny nose and I'm not bunged up yet it's very mild and barely noticeable, but when the congestion sets in it gets TERRIBLE, super conspicuous and impossible to hide. I think that's why I hate getting a stuffy voice, because it makes the fact I have a cold so blatantly obvious and I can't hide it anymore. Also when I listen to my own stuffy voice I don't find it attractive, I always think about how horrible I must sound to other people 😅😅. I especially hate when people, noticing my voice, start making comments about it, for example: "Oh, you sound like you have a really bad cold!" or "Your voice sounds weird". Awkward!! Also, the strange thing in my case is that my stuffy voice seems to appear even if I'm not that congested: my nose is just slightly blocked and I still sound as if I'm completely stuffed up. The classic "I sound worse than I feel", I guess. Isn't it weird? I say that because I know many people who get a stuffy voice only if their congestion gets like really bad so... 🤷♀️🤷♀️ I mean, you can't tell they have a cold just by the sound of their voice because it's just normal and it doesn't sound like nasally or anything. That's all! Feel free to comment with your opinions! Edited April 17, 2023 by Italiangirl
oOMariusOo Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Who doesn't like that ?? 😆 Personally, I find this to be one of the most adorable aspects of our fetishism. There is nothing more melodious to hear someone speak that way because of their completely congested nose and throat and to see that each of their difficult breaths tickles the back of their nose even more. As far as I'm concerned, my voice doesn't muffle as quickly. It's only when I have very, very bad colds, that my voice breaks like this. Except I don't usually like to talk at times like these. I lock myself in my house and I don't speak to anyone for fear of seeming ridiculous. My nose and throat are so congested that in any case, you can't understand absolutely anything I'm saying. x) It's hard to explain because my nose is not completely blocked, but it is rather partially. Never at the entrance but only in the background. Difficult to put words on it to be understood.

I got that with a cold I had at the end of last year: my nose was pretty stuffed up but only "at the back" and the lower part of my nostrils was clear, so I could breathe through my nose without any problems but it still felt stuffy and I had to blow it a lot (and of course I had a horrible congested voice as well as always).
SleepingPhlox Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Man I love a good stuffy voice. It's just music to my little fetishist ears. But as for me, my voice doesn't get like that unless I'm really sick. I mean, REALLY sick. I often rely on my voice and need my voice to sound clear and understandable, and I guess over time I've kind of conditioned myself to speak normally even when congested. I'm not even sure what it is I do or how it works exactly, I just kinda started taking it for granted somewhere along the line. I can pinch my nose shut and still speak normally. I can compensate for mild hoarseness too. Which I guess is kind of a cool trick? But yeah, if you can hear illness in my voice, then I am definitely sick-sick.
DesperationLover Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 I'm not as into the cold/sick aspect of it, but hit me with that stuffed up allergy voice and ooooh I'm in love. My voice doesn't change that much when I'm sick, but I think I do a pretty good imitation of being stuffed up haha. I would definitely love to do that kind of voice for someone if I ever became close with a person that liked that it.
drsn Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 I'm more into allergies/stuffed up than sickness. So yeah not really into stuffy voice.
snottysnz Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 i'm more into colds and illness related sneezes so i totally get what you mean. i LOVE stuffy talk. i especially enjoy talkies, hearing people talk about their cold, describe their symptoms and how poorly they're feeling all while having a stuffy voice makes it so much better.
Italiangirl Posted June 27, 2023 Author Posted June 27, 2023 I'm exactly the same as you On 6/25/2023 at 5:40 PM, snottysnz said: i'm more into colds and illness related sneezes so i totally get what you mean. i LOVE stuffy talk. i especially enjoy talkies, hearing people talk about their cold, describe their symptoms and how poorly they're feeling all while having a stuffy voice makes it so much better.
