linaevelyn94 Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 I'm not sure what was going on with me today, but I found myself sneezing a bunch today, way more than normal. They weren't congested or stuffy, and I'm not sick, so I have no idea what brought them all on. I'm used to a sneeze or two a day or every other day, and they're normally a single or double, rarely anything more. But today was something different. First I found my nose bothering me on my drive to work. I stayed at my boyfriend's the night before and my drive to work is significantly longer than from my house (45 compared to 15). I'm not good at recalling/spelling my sneezes, but there were 4 in a rapid succession, all sounding something like aigh-shew! It was a pretty hilly part of the drive, so luckily they were quick sneezes. Then at work, I sneezed a ton, fits of three to four sneezes every two hours or so. I can't recall what they all sounded like, but some sounded like my normal sneeze, which I'd say sounds like achhscheww. With how quickly I was sneezing, I'm starting to believe that I'm allergic to my office like my coworker jokes that she is. Since I've been home, I've sneezed six times, two fits of three. Even though these were the most recent, I can't remember what they sounded like. Who knows if I'll sneeze again tonight while I watch the show I just started, but if there are any more maybe I'll update.
Jeff Posted April 27, 2023 Posted April 27, 2023 Wow, bless you! Hope your sneeziness subsides (but also secretly hoping to hear more about it)....Yep, I am torn! Any nose blowing associated with the sneezing? I have been sneezing quite a bit today as well. I have also been blowing my nose a lot more than usual, with a majority of the blows being soft and quiet and a ton of gurgly snot. However, the past 5 or so nose blows (including the last one about 5 minutes ago) still produced a lot of snot, but there were a lot more loud honks as well (enough to put a hole in the Puffs Plus tissue.

No, I didn’t feel the need to! I wasn’t stuffy or congested afterward. Not much spray either.
Dingle Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Sneezy days can be annoying but if you know how to use them they can be very good for hijinks

I have a co-worker who complains of exactly the same thing. She says she always starts sneezing when she gets into work, and jokes regularly that it must be the office Any more sneezing, or was it just a one off day?

I’ve noticed I’m sneezing a bit more than normal recently but nothing like that. A bunch of people I know are getting bad allergies this year or feeling like they’re developing allergies even if they’ve never had them before. Might be me included!
