Just been to a gathering where there was a majority of people aged ... 50+?

A woman, wearing a belted dress, had a folded white handkerchief tucked under the belt; part of it was also hanging in front of the belt. Either the handkerchief had been lightly used or it hadn't been ironed; either way, it looked quite clean and only slightly rumpled. I'd say the handkerchief, size-wise, was largish ladies; no obvious embellishment or pattern, it may have been completely plain or it might have had, for example, a corner of embroidered flowers that had been tucked away out of sight

True, a small one would be overwhelmed by a huge snotty blow - my methods include having several large ones available. One bonus is that the material is strong and doesn't disintegrate.  But, hand up, I'm biased and pro-handkerchief!
