Spinoza
This morning I took the train to reach the city where there's my uni, as I usually do. Even though the schedule departure is before 7 AM, this train is often quite crowded, so one has to find a few tricks to get seated properly, otherwise they'll wait 50 minutes until the final stop, where I was going to. I was quite lucky to find quickly a seat (thanks to my commuter students skills I guess?), while other passengers weren't: among them there was a girl, probably in her mid 20's, with dark wavy hair; she had to stand up for all the route, while people only kept coming from the intermediate stops. After about 10 minutes after the train departure, she let out a sneeze: hhHEEET'SHH!! And quickly she blew her nose; then some minutes later she sneezed again, a stifle into the tissue. A very peculiar sneeze, as it had a very short breathy build-up, then a quite loud continuation of the same build-up but no final part! It was like after the stifle the sneeze was precisely cut, so it sounded like: hhHEEEEEK---! The girl had a very adorable nose, slightly upturned and with a boxy tip (my favourite!), and my occasional glimpses at her made me think she was dealing with the beginning of a cold. She sneezed other two times before the final stop, again stifling them in her tissue and always in that strange way, as the final release was almost silent: HEEEETshh--!! Fast forward to the first lecture of my day: I had this annoying tickle in the back of my nose and I knew I was about to sneeze, but my mental block made me fail two attempts: heh... Heeh... Finally with my cupped hands I could hide my nose and somewhat win the mental block, at least for the build up as the conclusion was very strange and different and louder than I usually sneeze: hhUuet-Hhooo!!! It was a bit embarassing at the beginning, but it seemed that no one in the class really cared, so neither did I 😄 Link to comment
