Being an adult with braces is weird

I’m sure most of us have had braces at least one point in our lives like middle school or high school…. I got mine when I turned 17. I’m 19. And braces are painful, that’s obvious; they cut up your mouth and they make your teeth hurt like hell. But there’s a special combination: having chronic baby face and braces

Mix them together very well and you get: young adult that looks like a 14-year-old

You know dude, as an adult I'm actually still considering getting braces because my parents didn't get any of us braces as kids. And I really needed them lol (just cosmetic wise)

I spend a lot of time with people ten years older than you and see people in braces all the time. I was like five foot nothing when I graduated high school so I get looking young. I think it's all about how you style and carry yourself. Twenty year olds love putting stuff all over their teeth these days anyway, it's never been more in fashion for young adults.

BUT AS FOR THE PAIN I can only imagine and that sucks dude. I hope you don't have that much longer to go through it!

Mine was for the exact opposite, my teeth look fine but they are too crowded. I think I have like 8 months left but I’ll have to double check

I know a lot of people who got them as adults. One girl in my class got hers with the age of 18 and even one of my teachers in his 40th had braces :) Two years ago a co-worker in the office I was working got some and he was 28. So don't worry it is normal and once it's finished you'll be happy too have made it 😊 But yeah I can feel the pain. I had it as a teenager and I remember it all to well... it sucks. But less then a year and you made it for the rest of your life so hold on 💪🏻

An orthodontist once told me that what he'd have to do to get my teeth straight would be more bother than it's worth
