Self-Fulfilling Prophecy

1. Have you ever thought "I better not sneeze at (name of time/event)?"

2. Did you try to convince yourself that you wouldn't sneeze?

3. Were you unable to overcome your fear that you would sneeze?

4. Did you feel a sneeze coming on and successfully stifle?

5. Did it become a self-fulfilling prophecy when you actually sneezed, causing disruption or embarrassment to yourself?

I really wanted to answer these questions, but pretty much all I have to do is THINK about stopping the sneeze, and it's gone. Heck, 95% of the time I feel a sneeze coming, it goes away on it's own. Years of stifling and working on that mental block. He he!

I must be weird because I don't really feel that it's "inappropriate" for me to sneeze. Anywhere. I never heard of people getting offended at someone sneezing at an event either.

Now...letting one fly: that would be a different story altogether. But I never heard of anyone getting offended at sneezing.
