Bridge Posted December 13, 2007 Share Posted December 13, 2007 I had a physical yesterday, and I had to have a tetanus shot. Now I feel like I've got the flu-- fever and achy and everything. I took a sick day from work, but I hate being home alone and feeling yucky. I slept all morning and still feel like I got hit by a bus. This is the kind of time when I hate my life and wish there were someone else around to make me feel better. I should have just taken my chances with the tetanus... Link to comment

The effects of the shot only last about 48 to 72 hours, although your arm may be sore longer. Hang in there. You can always call the doctor and ask which over the counter medicine will be best for you to take to decrease the symptoms. Sorry you feel so bad. Rest assured that your symptoms are common with tetanus shots. Link to comment
