On February 9, 2008, the Wall Street Journal had a column suggesting gifts to buy for Valentine's Day.

A male writer suggested gifts to buy for women, and a female writer suggested gifts to buy for men (and they commented on each other's suggestions).

Here's the excerpt that matters:

I agree with Countless; from my point of view, no gift would be more romantic than a monogrammed set of handkerchiefs.
