Kleeny
There is a guy at work that always has a tissue in his pocket, and can be seen using it several times a day, but he never blows, he only wipes his nose a little. I have never seem him put any effort into clearing his nostrils properly, and I can't image the little wiping he does offers any relief from a runny nose.I have seen other people do this, they are quite happy to use a tissue to wipe their nose, but never blow at all. Some people are actually quite nice at wiping, and it can be attractive, but in terms of getting the job done, it can't be too effective! Link to comment
shy guy
It depends on the individual. I often have a runny nose with a very watery discharge, especially when it's cold or drafty. There's really nothing to blow out of your nose, but you do have to wipe your nose because otherwise the discharge will drip. I do this myself (but with a hanky, not a tissue). It sounds like your colleague is like me in this regard. Link to comment
