Friends talking about allergies

hey all,

So yesterday i was at a family/friends party and one of my best friends was talking to a few other people and I about what he was going to be doing this summer. Among other things he said he cutting the lawns of a lot of people in his neighborhood but said he hated it because he was allergic to grass. Meanwhile I was sitting there the whole time feeling really awkward. Does this happen to anyone else like I think it would not have been as awkward if it was a girl because thats what i prefer but maybe it still would be. Anyone else feel awkward around friends talking about their allergies?

It's just depend on the gender of my friend who talks about his/her allergies.

If a guy tells me that he's allergic to something, i would like to be deaf.

I'm just listen to girls when they are talking about allergies.

I think the most important point is if the person is attractive to me (in sexual meaning)
