How did you find us?

I was just musing the other day how cool it is that as a community we generally do our best to stay fairly low-profile and out of any sort of spotlight, yet dozens of new members still seem to find and join the site each day. Obviously we all had a common interest that led us to evetually find this place, but it strikes me that there are so many different ways that one could stumble upon the site for the first time.

I remember the first ever internet search I did for "sneezing" was probably about 8 or 9 years ago when my whole family was out and my parents had forgotten to turn off the computer (back in those days we had tightly passworded dialup internet). I remember thinking how much more powerful the internet was supposed to be than a dictionary, so I typed "sneezing" into Google, not expecting to find much more than definitions and the like. For the first couple of pages it was all medical junk, mixed in with a few news stories about allergies - mostly just boring stuff. Until on like page 23 of the search I came across the link for the Sneezing Girls webpage, and was like "hey, this sounds like EXACTLY what I like...". Needless to say, I was thrilled, and spent the rest of the day on the page. The next time I managed to get back on, it led me to Tarotgal's site, which in turn led me to Bondi's page. I'm pretty sure I was utterly content reveling in his incredible collection of female wavs for at least a month before I bothered to click the "Forum" link on the page and finally find this site. From then on I would come and spy on everybody periodically, until I got more and more into it and eventually, worked up the courage to join .

So that's pretty much the long and short (mostly long ) of my "Discovery Story". Care to share some of yours? Does anyone else marvel at how commonplace the wav page has seemed to become compared to the first time we laid eyes on it? (it's still easily the most incredible thing though).

I've had this fetish for as long as I can remember, but I didn't even really know what a fetish was until I found this community. At first, I thought that I was the only person who thought like this, and that no one else found sneezing attractive, but I was proven wrong on the very first day that I decided to look around.

I did a google search for "sneezing girls" and I was pleased to discover that there was a website with exactly that name. Based on what I'd end up hearing later on, Sneezing Girls had deteriorated significantly from its former glory by the time I actually found it, but even still, it was one of the most amazing things that I'd ever seen. From that site, I eventually found the Tarrot of Sneezing, Bondi's Wav Page, and eventually, this forum. So basically, I followed the exact same path as you...

I'll be honest, I reason I initially made an account here was just so that I could download stuff, and my attitude just after joining reflected just that and nothing more. However, since then, I feel like I've come a long way (as in I still act like an idiot, but not quite as much).

At first, everything seemed so strange and new to me, but now, all of these sites seem rather normal. That's not to say that they're boring, but I used to find them almost as strange as an outsider would, and now I feel more at home on these forums.

yeah, the internet is pretty much the coolest, craziest thing to happen to human society since...I don't even know what! it's not the same as tv or books, because it gives us the chance to interact with people we'd never otherwise meet, and organize ourselves in ways we'd never otherwise get to. in fact, I kind of think that if it weren't for the internet, I might never have realized that I was part of a community at all, and not just a little a freak! I think the first sneeze fetish community site I found was tarotgal's; similar story to yours, mute poet (except that I was a freshman in college and had my own laptop, so no restricted access...it just hadn't ever occurred to me to do a search). for me, reading and writing in the story section has always been the best part...when I was little, I used to write and illustrate little sneezing stories for my own amusement, so it was the perfect outlet...and it's sooooo much more fun to be able to share with others who will appreciate it!

I found this place by googling uh... some of my favourite anime/manga/video game characters followed by sneeze, sneezing, cold, etc. [Hush, I know I'm weird D:] Mind you, that was a couple years ago...although, I still do that from time to time. :3

Well, those search results lead me to various fanfics on places like fanfiction, quizilla, and here. I didn't exactly know what a fetish was at that time, but curiosity got the better of me, seeing 'sneeze' as part of the forum's name. I lurked around, and stumbled upon the stories section and was preoccupied with reading through them for quite a while. Finally, I started an account, even though I mostly lurked. And, uh, I've only recently started posting/trying to become a more active member. The end? :3

Just out of curiosity, how long has this forum existed? (in it's current sff.org iteration) I understand there was sort of webring of bulletin boards or mailing lists related to sneezing back in the day, but when did "SneezeFetishForum" come into being.

I remember when I first found sneeze fetish websites (my first being "Diary of a Sneeze Fetishist"), there was a site called "Sneeze Fetish Online" that had links to most every other fetish-related site. I'm pretty sure there was a link to this forum there, which means it must pre-date my acquaintance with all of this. It wasn't until this "Sneeze Fetish Online" site evaporated that I started reading through this site on a regular basis. Then slowly but surely downloadable content and other cool stuff coerced me to actually become a member. From then to now, it sure seems like we've had an unbelievable explosion of awesome sneeze content. Everything here just keeps getting exponentially better!

edit: Oh, and back in 2000-2001, Google wasn't quite so popular. I was all about AltaVista, baby!!

I discovered the internet quite late (yup, I'm old) but I was half aware that there was a sneeze fetish forum because I recall seeing something about it on a Graham Norton show a while back (I can recall Cher was on it but have never been able to find clips nor has anyone ever confirmed it happened). SO when I finally got an internet connnection, I searched for "sneeze" and it took me quite a while to find it using Google and the forum was the site I found first. I was using a work computer back then so I didn't register for quite a while, only doing so later when I got a computer at home.

Well, I actually found it through the 'News For Blondes' bit on us on Youtube. I thought: 'Sneeze Fetish Forum? Sounds cool.'

I knew I had a fetish, and I LOVED it.

So, I checked out the site... Bear in mind, I was 11 at the time( Naughty me.) so I knew I couldn't join. As soon as I was 13, I RUSHED home, waited for my mum to leave the room or something, then registered myself. Been a member ever since. (Obviously.)

My background is much the same as Blah-san's. I've had the fascination with sneezing for as long as I can remember, and was thoroughly convinced I was the only one on the planet to have this odd (or so I thought at the time) fascination. Then one day, not too long ago actually, I was feeling bold and decided to type "sneeze" into Google. Amazed I was to find so many sites dedicated to it. I found the media thread of this forum, and lurked through it in its entirety, little by little. Only after reading about the people here and finding you are all much like me, I then realized this was indeed a fetish, and that I wasn't the only one with it. A few months later, I worked up the courage to join, and I've been here ever since.

I found out about this forum form a link on youtube perhaps as much as a year ago, but as I have said before, I am quite shy. I am getting better lately, but have been through a faze where I was just taking baby steps. First I just shut this page off. My parents were out. They forgot to lock the computer. I pounced on the opportunity and googled "sneeze" like a lot of people here did while there was no one around to see. Definitions and medical articles can only go so far, so I decided to search for something I loved and searched "sneezing in stories". Most of the links that came up were to the forum. Sadly enough, I was actually on study leave at the time...the immense anount of willpower it took to put the forum away and get back to chemistry, biology and so on nearly killed me xD It took me another two weeks to sign up because I was kind of worried about discovery, but really...how could I not?

i found the forum through my kata partner (who happened to give me the fetish well... technically i guess i snitched it... but same difference) she told me about it, and after a while i signed up, and have been spreading toads and mischief ever since.

Well I'm also one of those people who have been very conscious of the effects of the fetish since childhood but discovering that it is a fetish only much later; and before finding the forum thinking that I was absolutely the only crazy one to feel like that. I was so tightly in closet that I didn't even want to think about it... I thought about sneezing and such for my pleasure, but never dared to analyze my reactions any further. I even knew many fetishists and one even intimately but it never crossed my mind that the thing I had about sneezing would be in any way similar to the thing he had about shoes.

A couple of years ago I stumbled upon a site for hiccup fetishists. I was curious and read further and it made me go "OMG this is exactly what I'm like with... colds." I guess that made me think that maybe, just maybe I wasn't the only one. Half a year later when I was in a middle of a personal crisis I figured that it was time to learn to seriously know myself and if there was something I had to face, it was "that thing". I surfed and surfed not quite sure what I was looking for, reading about cough fetishism and whatnot and eventually found my way here, registered the same day and started posting. Demosthenes asked when did this forum come into being. I joined in Nov '02 and I am member 77 so it must have been Oct or Nov '02. Since I am the oldest to answer so far, I had the longest journey. Back in '96 (you know when you still had to dial a phone and put it in the modem and 2400 baud rates were screaming LOL) I tripped on alt.sex.binaries.fetish. So I thought there is no way anyone else has this same fetish as me, I mean come on I have had this for almost 20 years and I would have sworn I was alone. Lo and behold there was a post in there (remember this is the BBS days) from one ProfS (although he was running by a different name back then) looking for anyone to trade sneeze clips (VHS recordings or cassette tape recordings) with. I about freaked out and it took me almost a week to respond. A bunch of us (I won't name anyone else for fear of forgetting someone and offending them but you know who you are old farts ) formed an email list and would email each other observations and stories and such. Then came the newsletter. It is out there somewhere maybe on the TOS? Then a couple of brave people started websites like the TOS and SFO and Sneezing Girls and Dustbunni hade a great site with animations that she made. Unfortunately, a small number of the newer people that had found these sites by googling were impatient about updates and many of the sites closed because the owners did not want to listen to the nagging for an update. These people have lives outside the community you know. It's a lot of work to keep a site running and a lot of good people have left the community because of such nagging. Shameless plug time, on that subject if someone has the guts to make a wav or a video and put it out there for you and you don't like it keep your mouth shut. Also be damned glad that they had the guts and willingness to make that for you, don't pester them for more or they may stop altogether (see the goose that laid the golden egg fairy tale) I joined all of those websites and eventually found my way here from a posting in one of them. Well that is my very long story. That is why I don't write much. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this community in a positive manner, it has really made my day

I was searching sneeze wavs in google, and came across bondi's page. Then I found a link to the forum and was shocked and surprised to see that others had the same fetish as me. I knew I was fasicinated with sneezing, but I didn't know that it was a fetish and that other people had it too. I am glad ever since that I joined and I love to hear other's stories, observations, rants, wavs etc.

Well when I first figured out the internet and how to do random searches, the first thing I started googling was "sneeze". I didn't find

this place right away. I actually found this online blog that was titled "Diary of a Sneeze Fetishist". That was my first shock. It started

to make some sense to me the ways I felt about sneezing. Well a year or so later, I would continue doing searches and one day I

tried to find this girls on line diary again and discovered this forum. I was shocked. It wasn't just some random girl out there that had

this, it was an entire community.

I registered immediately and I was like a kid in a candy store. I went wild. I was on here daily, at least bouncing on for a short while every

hour. Believe me my work started to suffer. But I'll never regret it. That was 07/12/2005.

I seem to be unique here [probably in many ways] because I always knew there must be other sneeze fans somewhere in the world, and as soon as I heard of the internet and its tendency to have porn sites, I realised there must be sneeze stuff there somewhere. Sadly, I was very poor and technologically challenged, so it took me some years to reach the internet. Then I was so shy that I couldn't bring myself to google "sneeze", so I went through various euphemisms and foreign languages, and after about three days of looking at noses and French stories, somehow hit a fic site, presumably serotica, and really the rest is history....
