I looked and didn't notice anything so sorry if this has been posted before but this question is for some of the older members of the community. Having the fetish and knowing what a big part it plays in sexual ummm pleasures have any of you noticed maybe that it doesn't effect you like it used to? I don't want this question to come off as offensive I am just curious because there are always so many articles talking about lack of desire etc and I wondered if as we grow older if the fetish won't play a big part of our lives in the golden years.

I think what you're talking about is decreased libido and that can happen when you're nineteen.Don't worry there are a lot of fetishists way older than me and you(my age is incorrectly stated on the left-I'm 52) and they're rolling along happily.I'm chuckling as I imagine you gnawing your knuckles and worrying needlessly--it's okay--it's a real long shot you'll wake up one morning and have no interest--it's a question of libido and hormones and drive,not specific to a fetish,but to "desire" in general--also the fetish doesn't have pressures attached to it like pleasing a partner,does the opposite gender still find me attractive etc. Relax...have a nice sneeze or buy a dozen new handkerchieves...

How old is older? I'm 40 and it's still getting better all the time. I'd say it's far more important to me now than it was before but I think that may be partly the effects of finding this community and coming to terms with something I really hadn't come to terms with properly when I was younger.

I'm 49, almost 50, and the thing that I have noticed is that as I've become older I have become pickier about what sneezes I enjoy, instead of being rather indiscriminate. But the fetish is still there, strong as ever (and personally I don't believe my libido has decreased).

i totally agree with everyone here. don't know if its just getting older and more comfortable with oneself, and all the quirks, or since joining the forum, but i seem to enjoy it more now than ever. before, i would hardly ever allow myself to think about the effects of "the sneeze", but now, although no one in RL knows, i feel a lot more comfortable talking and enjoying all the ins and outs of the fetish.

Ditto to handkerchieves--before joining SFF I was always reluctant in some way to use a hankie in public,unless in front of women,but SFF and member comments/experiences have been so liberating.It's now something I'm much less self-conscious about and while I'm uncomfortable in some situations,blowing my nose on the train or elsewhere where a lot of people are present is much less intimidating as well as more enjoyable because more opportunities present themselves and fewer are avoided.

All of our answers are the same...but maybe that's not so meaningful, since if our interest had waned over the years, we wouldn't be hanging around here any more. But I'm still here, so I'll just agree with everyone else: I'm still as interested as I ever was. Like Sternuto and Mr Sneezy have said, it's nice to know that if my sexual interest starts to wander, I always have something that I can fall back on.
