Well I recently got access to internet in office and since then whenever I come to work I make it a point to access the forum whilst working. Though ensure that I am not reading or viewing it when the girl next to me is around me. :P

Does anyone else dare to access the forum when you are in a public place.??? I cannot help doing so as its so tempting!!!!

Yep. Same for me!

My work starts at 8.30 am but I always start at 8.15 am because I HAVE to access my 5 favourites internet sites in able to start the day.

Guess what's one of those 5?? :P

p.s. I'm actually in the office in this moment!! :notworthy:

I don't work in an office, I work at the service desk of a retail store, so I should never even attempt it, as anyone could walk by at any time. However, I discovered one night on accident that I could access the forums if I wanted to. I just don't have the nerve to do it! Ha ha ha! I get plenty of time at home to access what I want anyway, so I don't have the desire to do it at work.

I've accessed the forum a few times from the library at my university, though more out of boredom tahn anything. Last semester I had a two and a half hour dull spot in between classes that I'd usually spend at the library catching up on work (since it wasn't really worth making the trek back hom just to leave again), but a few times I finished what I was doign way ahead of schedule and would have an hour or so to kill before class.

I always tried to make sure that I found a secluded computer in an area where relatively few people would walk behind me, but I still always made sure I had an excuse for why I was on the site at the ready - "oh, I'm just doing some data-collection on fetish websites for an abnormal psych project ).

Absolutely not! The system administrator can (and sometimes does) monitor internet usage. Technically, we are only supposed to be doing work-related things at work. I don't suppose someone could lose their job for checking sports scores or stock prices, although there may be some reprimand. But going to a porn site from work?

Not worth risking my job over. There is a reason for the expression "Not Safe For Work". This site is an example.

I strongly urge you to reconsider this practice.

I fully agree ! Work is work and leisure is leisure. If my co-workers would access fetish sites during work I would not accept that.

And that is why I will not do it myself either. And on top it is an embarrassing thought to be found out by the system administrator

I have had the courage to access this forum on any pc other than my own, not just because I am afraid of being seen but if its not my pc I am worried the owner would find out what I've been looking at.

I wouldn't do it even if our corporate firewall did permit it (which it doesn't). I like my job and would not want to be fired for accessing the forum.

Those of you who do access it at work may want to check to see if your company has a policy on appropriate Internet use during work. You may find that you are violating that policy, and that your actions could lead to termination of your employment. Jobs are not easy to come by in this economy, and being fired for this could be a permanent black mark on your employment history.

Well...I have to put in a username and password to access the Internet at work. How embarrassing would THAT be if the system admin saw that AND could track me down? :rollfast: Although given what I do for a living, I could always say it's in the name of research. :rollfast: But if I come across a terminal where I don't have to enter that info...well, it's fair game. :P Balls of steel, I tell you!

:P

And there was me feeling terribly ashamed by those reactions above because I used to use the shared computers with shared log-in at work whenever I was bored too.

Eventually I took my own laptop and just used their wireless network. Then again at least one of my colleagues knew anyway and the senior vet at the clinic where I worked most was so wholly addicted to Facebook and so evil that I think she would have just laughed anyway.

In fact now I come to think of it most of them used internet dating sites too.

Ah well, remote working at night has its perks!

I'm not as courageous as some of you guys! I only use it on my home laptop and I get scared that I didn't delete the history if someone is in the room (not necessarily on the computer).

Wow, that's nervy! I could never. I only check it on my laptop, and then I only check it on Internet Explorer (I normally use Google Chrome) so that there isn't any browser history to worry about in case one of my sibling decides to use my computer. I also won't check it if someone else is in the room, even if they can't see my computer screen.

Haha, I normally use the Incognito window with Google Chrome. I can't trust myself to delete the browsing history everytime with anything else... :3

What's the incognito window? I've only just started using that program after Firefox started being a bitch at me, so I'm still trying to figure it out.

well i should thank Sneesee for guiding me to use the other forum which doesnt have any indication of Sneeze fetish on top and thus makes it safer for me to access at my work place. and yes whichever site i visit, i always clear history of last visited sites to leave no trail behind

I would never do that because I share the office with a few other people and when they walk behind me they could see it. The fact that the system admin might be able to see it also freaks me out. I look at other not-work related sites, mostly other forums (my bosses do it as well and they know I do it so no problem there) but more harmless stuff ^^

I live alone so I can visit the side at home as much as I want and nobody else is using the computer so I donĀ“t even have to delete the history or someting

Nope, absolutely not. My workplace actively monitors our internet activity (they're actually pretty anal about it), and the less my employers know about my private life, the happier I am. None of their damn business what I'm into.

Incidentally, this qualifies as a sex site, and could be grounds for termination if your employers ever find out. Just a thought.

Where I work, we don't even have the 'net as such. Doesn't stop the supervisors sending porno pictures via their email.

nope nope nope, they check our history at work on our work computers. In fact, an email just came from HR the other day reminding faculty and staff about appropriate use of work email and work computers and the how it needs to be work-related only.

Sneesee, what is this other site?? I feel so out of the loop.
