allergyboy2001
http://www.spoenk.nl/?tag=huishoudelijk&paged=3"Een werelddoekje"A guy blogging in Dutch about his love for handkerchiefs and their usefulness. If you copy the material and go to freetranslation.com or systranet.com, you can get a rough translation. The translation sites want to translate the title as "a world cloth" but I think we would say "a universal cloth." Link to comment
countless
heehee I do not need systranet.com !The guy says that nowadays it is rare to see someone blow his nose. And if someone does so, it is mostly a female, and into a tissue. The traditional checkered handkerchief has gone out of fashion.Right, he is explaining why he will never go out without one in his left pocket: good for many purposes, including covering the mouth when sneezing forcefully and even for a blow. And he means a universal piece of cloth indeed. And he is glad that his hankies still look the way his father's hankies did. Something that has escaped from the attention of the commercial guys. Quick, back in my pocket before someone notices !C Link to comment
