sneeze007
So today in class this girl that sits across from me was coughing a lot and was really congested. When someone asked if she was sick she said no it was just allergies from the weather. Is this something that happens to a lot of people or is this just a random occurrence? Link to comment
Trillium
You can't be allergic to the weather, per se. But you can be allergic to different things that occur frequently in different seasons, such as tree pollen (spring), grass pollen (summer), mold (summer and fall), ragweed (fall), dust mites (winter). In rainy weather, mold tends to grow well, and thunderstorms tend to kick up a lot of pollen and mold and bring it closer to the ground. Also, I've noticed that my allergies act up when turning on the central air conditioning in spring/summer, and the heat in fall/winter. I assume it's due to accumulated dust in the heating and cooling vents. You could ask her more about it in class tomorrow. . . . Link to comment
