for this unfortunate woman, sneezing wasn't relieving, or even annoying- but it was pretty painful. I hope something like this never happens to any of us! By the way, I always get worried that I could die or pop a blood vessel due to some of my sneezes that I hold in (since i hate sneezing in front of family & friends.) I never thought something could actually happen like what happened to this lady. Interesting story.

this is similar to an obs i posted over the summer. a woman at the office where i was an intern kept complaining for days about how she hurt her back while sneezing. obviously, she didn't have the dire consequences that the woman in the article had, but maybe some kind of back injury is common.
