Confession for a Confession

So I had been texting my friend C. He's a funny and weird guy, a nerd cutie kind of guy. He's pretty awesome. Either Dark blonde hair, or light brown, Im not sure. Brown eyes. Skinny, not built, but could take me on any time Im willing to bet. And well yeah. Semi tan. ANYWAYS...

We were texting and he had said he burnt his arm. Third degree burn. I was asking how it happened, he explained and at the end said

"I just know I dont ever want to go through this again"

Me: "Why would anyone?"

C: "There are some weird ones out there"

Me: "Well yeah, but you're not a self injurer.."

C: "Well, not 'self' injurer.."

Me: "??? what do you mean?"

So he tells me to get on facebook chat, otherwise he didnt want to explain. After several minutes of being frustrated with facebook chat not working, it finally DID work. So here's how it went..

Me: "sooo?"

C: "(takes in a deep breath) Do you really want to know? This is probably the wierdest thing you've ever heard of, and I'm not sure if you'll ever think of me the same way again."

Me: "I've been told a lot of weird things. Im sure I've heard of something atleast close to as weird as you seem to make whatever this is out to be. So yes, I do wish to know."

C: "Okay... do you know what a fetish is?"

Me: "I do." By this point Im anticipating the potential person I would personally know who shares the same as me..

C: "well, I've got one of those. It's kinda wierd, even as far as fetishes go."

Me: "Ok. I know of atleast 2 fetishes.. Go on?"

C: "Well, what 2 do you know of?"

Me: "feet and sneeze. Im sure theres more. I just havent come across it on the internet or tv"

C: "sneeze?"

Me: "yeah. Theres a sneeze fetish."

C: "Never heard of that one. Well..... I.... I've got that first one. (embarassed face)"

Me: "whats so weird about a foot fetish?" AT this time, I was a little let down, but hey.. not so much because now I can tell him mine without him looking at ME different.

C: "What's not wierd about it? And it goes deeper...."

Me: "um okay. How does it go deeper? (btw.. since you told me that, I feel obliged to say this.. I have the second. No lie.)"

C: "Well, I suppose I can't really judge. It goes deeper... well, movies such as jurassic park and godzilla?"

Me: "Uhh.. I dont see how those are related to this topic, but go ahead since Im sure you'll explain how"

C: "Well, I'm going to put this as bluntly as I can. For me, that's basically porn. (even more embarassed face)"

Me: : "I can understand."

C: "Really? Then perhpas you don't think it's wierd to fantasize about being trampled to death by a t. rex? Because that's what I'm into. I've never told anyone else this."

Me: "hey, not my thing, but I dont believe its so weird"

C: "Really? That whole sneeze thing must go a lot deeper than I think too, because I think I'm wierd and I am me."

Me: "well I can maybe sort of explain how people have a sneeze fetish."

C: "Go for it. You listened while I talked, so I'll do the same."

Me: "a sneeze is like equivalent to 1/8 of an orgasm, or so I've read. something like that

thats all I have basically to say about it"

C: "Seriously? I've never really thought of it that way before. I've heard of some very strange fetishes, especially with my own ah, diffence. But that, I've never heard of before."

Me: "meh. Probably like I've never heard of any other fetishes but those two. and I heard of the foot thing on King of the Hill. I just never researched anything like why on any fetish but the one I was interested in haha.

I should.. i mean.. it might help to understand things like that if Im going to be a psychologist. oh well Im too tired to do any research haha!"

C: "To be perfectly honest, that's why I want to be a psychologist as well. I've read that the whole fetish thing was the human body's way of finding a "safe sex" alternative during times when aids were a real problem. Like between about '85 to present.

Me: "okay. bye bye!"

So yeah.. finally I've told someone that I actually know. Pretty refreshing! Secret for a secret. best way to tell and keep it within a certain person or group of people.

Saxxler2: I believe he said '85 to present Meaning.. yes we still have to deal with that stuff. Sheesh! we're only highschoolers! we don't know everything. Thats why he said hes "heard" about those things. He may have heard wrong, he may have forgotten some parts. He's not saying "this is true. You're wrong and Im right." about it.. Basically.. give him a break and me too.. for we are not all adults, nor know everything about the history of fetishes or anythign like that.

Fantasneezer: Everyone takes a fetish into their own hands. Maybe it ISNT a foot fetish, and its justt he closest thing to it taht he knows of? And maybe it IS a foot fetish and a bit more? Itd be like people saying they fantasize about cartoon characters-or anime, or manga, whatever- sneezing on them..

thats just my opinion. Good thing he told this to ME and not you two, for I dont think you two would be so supportive and understanding.

Hey Jaylynn, I've popped this over to General Discussion since it seems to be more... general than an obs.

I'm not quite sure what the first part of the dialogue has to do with anything (the part about how he got burnt... unless he has a boyfriend/girlfriend who's into burning him?), but it sounds like more of a crushing fetish than a fetish for feet, although I know that one can lead to the other (feet to crushing, for example).

I'm glad you were able to have a conversation about both of you, though. At least you know that there's a level of trust between you guys that you can talk about something so intensely personal, and that's a nice thing to have.

I am ALWAYS wondering if friends of mine have fetishes. Having one meself definitely makes me curious. Unfortunately, opening up seems to be the only way to get a real conversation with admissions rolling. And I'm not prepared to do that anytime soon.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder if any of my friends have fetishes as well.
