Summary: Sagara Souske catches his first cold ever and Kaname Chidori is taking care of him

The job I had received yesterday was met with full satsifaction from me of course. It was also to be expected from an military specialist like me. "Hehe, me Sagara Souske, remain the best specialist ever!" Well sometimes, since I know Chidori, I thought abut it, if I´m a little too selfish and self-loved. But she changed me slowly, perhaps it is also related to the fact that I´ve fallen in love for her for the first time. "Ahhh...I´m thinking too much again."

It was late and somehow i felt cold. But even if I had to do the job in the pouring rain, I was never and will never get sick...never! "I´m perfect!" With this knowledge I took a quick shower and went to sleep. Luckily I had no school tomorrow.

The next morning. I hadn´t slept well. Painfully I opened my eyes, my head throbbed. What was wrong with me? Suddenly I realized a well-known itch that quite slowly built up my nose. It couldn´t be...I will NEVER get sick! I tried with all strength to supress the sneeze and as a consequence my head hurt even more. I couldn´t stand it. My breath hitched, my eyes slowly closed and my mouth was slightly open. One, two seconds and then...

"Heh...HekkTschuuu!" My head snapped forward, where I covered the sneeze with my hands. Oww...my head was doing no good. The bad thing was the itching and tingling was still there. I couldn´t help me. I tried to stifle the next sneezes as best as I could. "Hehh...heeh...Hehxxtch...Exxtchaa...Haaxxtchoo! Ugh!" I felt like my head exploded.Tears running down my cheek. Sniff. My whole body was trembling from the effort. I felt miserable. I reached for some tissues right next to my bed and tried to free my nose, but I didn´t quite make it.

With a sudden shock I realized that I was being watched, how long I didn´t know. I was busy with sneezing my head off. Through my veil of tears I could see someone standing in the dorrway. Long blue hair...oh no. Chidori had come over to my apartment. Shit, how embarrassing, how could she see me now in this situation? I´m usually so perfect. Damn, what should I do???

Chidori stood with wide eyes and disbelief at the door and couldn´t believe it to see this otherwise so perfect soldier in such a miserable situation. My head became red, I felt extremely unpleasant. But Chidori felt sorry for him.

"Bless you, Souske! Are you ok?" she asked carefully. I almost dare not to look at her directly. Finally I looked at her briefly and shook my head, and I realized the headaches become stronger. "I think I´ve probably caught a cold..sniff...yesterday on my mission...sniff!" My breath started to hitch again. "Heh...uh..p-please...heeh...look a-away... heeh" I tried to say to her.

"Heexxchuuu...xgnt...heekxnt...heh!"

"Don´t do this Souske you will only hurt yourself...!"

"EhhkTschuuu...heh...!" that was better, but I wasn´t finished.

"HeeekkTschaaa...ugh!"

My whole body was shaking...I was so helpless.

"Finished?"

"I thing so.."

"Bless you!"

"Thanks."

She offered me a couple of tissues, which I gratefully accepted. I tried again to blew my nose. When I was finished and wiped away my tears I noticed her anxious looking. "Come here." she laid her forehead on mine. "hm...you seem to have a slight fever too." her forehead was so cool. I had closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment. "Rather stay in bed and rest yourself, Souske. Can I bring you anything? Maybe soup, tea or whatever you want?"

so here is the next part

I thought for a moment, instead of answering her, suddenly my arm came up and I tried to shield the incoming sneeze fit as best as I could before her.

"Heh...Heeh...HeeTchaaa...AaaTchooo...ugh...I-I´m...heeh...s-sor...heeeh...sorry...HeeekkTschuuu...!" I sighed.

"You can´t help it, plus everyone will be sick once. Do you have any tea in your empty kitchen?" she laughed.

"Uhm,...I don´t think so...sniff."

"Well, you stay in bed and sleep a bit, I´ll take care of you!"

"Ahhh, no...you don´t have to I...I...heeh...HeekkTch...I can handle it...sniff."

"Don´t talk, if your not lying in bed when I get back you will see what will happen! By the way bless you! See you soon and go to sleep!

With that she was already out of my apartment without I could contradict her. I felt bad. Slowly I turned myself into bed.

My head still rang yet, but I needed to go to the bathroom. I crawled out from under my covers and gently stood up. A brief dizziness came over me, but this subsided after a few moments again. With difficulty in movement I shuffled me a hand on the wall stated, towards the bathroom. Halfway the itch came back, always getting stronger. I leaned against the wall with my back. I tried to rub my nose to get rid of the itch but that only made it worse. It was hard to breath.

"Heh...Heeh...Ihhh..." and then I exploded into a two-minute sneezing fit that simply didn´t want to end.

"HeeekkTch...EhhhkTchuuu...HeeTchaaa...AaaakkTchhh...Heeeh...sniff...HeexxTchhh...!"

With every sneeze my whole upper body shot forward. I sneezed freely on the floor because I had obviously forgotten the tissues. Meanwhile I knelt down on the ground because the sneezes demanded everthing from my even though already weak body. I sat down fully on the ground. I sniffed loudly, trying to catch my breath, I was dizzy, my nose ran.

The last footsteps to the bathroom I managed by crawling. Sigh. Once there I grapped the whole tissue box and blew my nose hard, again with little success. I made myself fresh and staggered back into my bed, where I fell asleep within seconds.

I don´t know how long I slept. I felt somewhat comfortable cold on my forehead. Slowly I opened my eyes and I saw Chidoris anxious looking. It was her hand that rested on my forehead.

"You´ve got a high fever, Sousuke...how do you feel?" I tried to reply, but I just croaked and then started to cough. She rubbed my back until the coughing subsided and then she handed me a glass of water, which I gratefully accepted.

"So...how long did I sleep...sniff?" I asked.

"Well now it´s dark outside again. It seems that you really needed the sleep. Are you hungry? I brought soup." she smiled.

I wasn´t really hungry, but I didn´t want to disappoint her. Carefully I set myself a little on and Chidori gave me the bowl into my hands. The heat in my hands felt good. I took a few spoons and told her that it tasted very delicious. She smiled at me. I suddenly petrified in the mist of my movement, my nose began to itch like crazy, I think it was the steam from the soup that tortured my nose. Judging by my facial expression Chidori already knew too well what´s going on. I felt just like the bowl was replaced by a couple of tissues. My breath started to hitch.

"Heh...ahh...th-thank...heeh..."my head snapped forward

"HeekkTchaaa...heeh...HeeTchuuu...ahhh...HuaaaaTchooo...HeehTchuu...ugh!"

"Bless you, poor boy!"

"Umm...sniff...thanks...!"

It was so embarrassing for me...I blew my nose and trew the tissues into the trash next to my bed. I didn´t look at her but I felt that her view rested on me. "Do you want more soup?" she asked to break the uncomfortable silence. I nodded and finished a second bowl. The soup was really tasty. When I was ready Chidori took the used dishes. "Be right back." She went to the kitchen. I laid down again and relaxed with the cosy warm feeling in my stomach. I heard her tampered in the kitchen. She came back. "What do you want to do now? Go back to sleep, chat or watching a film in your living room?"

"Ummm...don´t you have anything better to do than provide this sick man here?" she really knew my art. "In addition, you will catch my cold and I don´t want that!" Out of nothing I had to sneeze yet to confirm this to be meaningful.

"HeexxTchh...heeh...HeeTchooo...damn...!"

She held the tissue to my nose. I grapped it an blew my nose.

"Bless you! You don´t think that you can survive alone like this, right? When was the last time you were sick?"

I stared at the ceiling, thinking.

"I can´t remember...strange. cough...cough."

She handed me the glass of water.

"But I don´t want you wasting your time with me and I also can´t protect you like this!"

"Well, it´s the right time, I´ll help you once and I will protect you!" she said with a smile.

Secretly I didn´t want her to go. Sigh.

"I can´t stop you anyway." I chuckled to myself.

"You feel fit enough to take a bath?"

I nodded. However I remembered the first "walk" to the bathroom this morning. SIGH. Hopefully this is not just pathetic. Chidori had disappeared into the bathroom filling the tub with hot water. I sat up slowly and carefully. Luckily the headache and the throbbing pain had almost gone. I got up and started walking. Halfway Chidori met me, she looked at me.

"How is it? Shall I help you?"

"Uhm...it´s alright... ." But there was that damned itch again. I stopped and streched out a hand to the wall to my right. My breath hitched so badly, my mouth slightly open, eyes nearly closed. So I stood there and waited for the incoming sneezing fit.

"Heh...heeh...heeh...I heeh...I h-hate...heh....heeeh..."

Next my head snapped forward, my body shook with each of the sneezes.

"HeekkTch...HeeChooo...HuuaaTchuuu...AachTchiii...HeeaChooo...ugh...i hate this!"

Chidori leaned on my left side, my legs had almost given way.

"Bless you, poor Sousuke!" she said softly.

Heavy panting for air I sat on the floor. She got me a couple of tissues, which I accepted with thanks, as always. She sat down beside me on the floor.

"Are you ok? You look totally finished! Are you getting enough air?" I nodded weakly.

When I had recovered a little I got up to go to the bathroom. Chidori looked at me quizzically.

"Can you make it?"

I originally wanted to nod my head, but then... .

"Please help me!" I sighed heavily.

I saw in her face that she had been waiting for this. She led me into the bathroom and left.

"I will make new tea!"

"Ok,...thanks!"

I undressed and slid into the warm water. Ahhh, that felt good! It smelled of herbs, my nose was free and I took a deep breath. I relaxed and listened to the sounds Chidori made in my apartment. It made me really happy that she was here.

After about 20 minutes later I got out of the water. Shit, I had forgotten to bring me clean clothes. There was a knock at the door.

"Yes?"

"I have clean clothes for you, shall I come in?"

"Uhm...uh..sure..come in."

She opened the door, her cheeks were red as she looked at me. I was also a little uncomfortable wearing only a towel in front of her but as long as it was her it was ok.

"Put them down here...thank you!" I smiled at her. She nodded embarrassed, then turned.

"I´m in the kitchen if you need anything... ."

"Thanks Chidori that you are here for taking care of me!"

"No problem, that´s what are friends for... ."

Then she was out the door. I slipped into the t-shirt and pants and dried my wet hair off. Then I wanted to left the bathroom. Without warning a sneeze attack exploded.

"HeeekkTchh...HeeeaTchooo...HeeTchh...HuuuaaTchuuu...ugh!"

"Bless you, dear," shouted Chidori from the kitchen.

I sighed and blew my nose before i got out the bathroom.

I went into the living room, sat on the couch and wrapped myself in a blanket which Chidori had ready laid for me. I felt good. On the table tea, a new box with tissues and a movie. Chidori came from the kitchen with a glass and something in the other hand.

"Hey, how are you feeling now?"

"Better...thank you." I gave her a smile.

"You really look better, no longer so finished. Here take this against your cold!"

She handed me the glass and a pill. I did as I was told.

"Good boy, Sousuke!" she laughed.

She sat down beside me on the couch with her forehead on mine.

"Your fever is gone that´s good" she said.

"Thanks to you and your care...ehm...thank you!" It was getting a little hard to say thank you for anything, I was simple not used to it. She smiled.

"Not worth talking about. You would do the same for me...I hope...?!" She looked right at me and I nodded quickly.

"Watching the movie?" I had no objections.

"Yeah."

While she was busy with TV and DVD player I took the tea. I enjoyed the warm feeling that was slowly spreading through my body. Chidori sat down on the couch and crawled down under the blanket. I looked at her puzzled.

"Can´t I make it comfortable for me, too? You look as if I´ve done something bad...!"

"No, no...I´m sorry...I didn´t expected it. Believe me...I...I like your body..." that was totally embarrassing, I blushed and looked at the table.

"Then it´s alright."

The movie started. Plenty of action, cars, shooting. She liked those movies. I became a little tired, moved closer to her and rested my head on her shoulder. She winced.

"Oh,...is everything ok with you? Are you all right?"

"All the best, I´m just a little tired."

"Wait, I´ll make it more comfortable." She lifted her arm, so I could really lean on her, she placed her arm on my shoulder. I felt her breath.

"You´re so nice and warm...!" I muttered. Her hair smelled good. I was happy. She squezzed me. I didn´t watch anymore, I drifted of into a calm of pleasant sleep. I felt so safe at the side of the woman I secretly adored. I wished it could always stay that way.

When I awoke I looked off and on the screen. Chidori was completely latched. I turned my head very slightly in her direction. Our faces were just inches apart. She eagerly watched the float with her hazel eyes on the screen. I noticed how her hand on my shoulder moved and she stroke her fingers slowly through my hair. I looked at her questioningly, she had noticed that I was awake again. She turned her head and we looked at each other for a long time. Then she smiled and gave me a kiss on my forehead.

"Hmm...what was that for?" I asked.

"Oh, no reason...I felt like it...you felt bad afterwards...?"

"No...ehh...it was nice..." I looked away. Her fingers still swarmed through my hair, with eyes closed I enjoyed this pleasant feeling. She watched me and didn´t look at the screen anymore.

"Hey...Chidori? Ehm...there is something...heh...what..." it was sure that in this very moment my nose began to itch like crazy. I lifted a finger.

"Heeh one...ugh...heeh sec-...heh..."

She reached for the box with the tissues. I plucked me out a few not a second too late and they stopped in front of my nose and then...

"HeekkTchh...HeeaTchuu...heeh...HeeTchuuu...HuaaTchooo...HeehTschuuu...ugh!"

"Bless you, Sousuke! I think it was time for those sneezes." she laughed.

I just nodded and blew my nose extensively. When I could breathe normally again, Chidori let me return to the prevous position to sit next to her.

"What did you want to tell me before?"

"Ehm,well...sniff...there´s something I wanted to tell you some time, but I never had the courage. Well the time now is unfortunately not that perfect...as yet...sniff." I stared at her watchful eyes, so beautiful.

"Uhm, how can I...ahh...I...I love you, Chidori!" OH GOD, it was out. Her eyes were now wide open. I felt like my face was really red. I was unsure determined, was it wrong to tell her about my love? But suddenly her facial expression changed. She smiled at me, looked away briefly and then move.

"I love you too...Sousuke!" Woooow, I was so relieved. Then she leaned forward and kissed me on my lips. I pushed her away.

"No. not...ehhh...you will catch it..."

"Will you then take care of me?" I took her hand.

"Always...always...Chidori!"

"Then we can kiss!" she grinned impudently.

Our lips came closer and we kissed each other...until...

"Heeh...HeeekkTchuuuu...damnit...I´m sorry." Sigh.

"Bless sweetheart, you can´t help it!" she smiled.
