Kiwifruit Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 After moaning about all the irritating drabble threads drowning out the rest of the stories, I'm gonna join in with them and start my very own drabble thread! xD This is part of Dove and Natto's Drabble Challenge - I'll follow these 100 prompts, bolding them as I complete them. Airplane Aaand the first drabble:Unfair – 232 words. You know how some people just sneeze and sneeze until their eyes are streaming and their noses pink? How some people, once they start, can’t stop? How some people are set off at the first hint of pollen in the air, or a cat three rooms over?I am the complete opposite. Nothing makes me sneeze! I have no allergies. My immune system is made of steel. I will occasionally feel that blissful tickle and finally let loose a wonderful, spine-tickling explosion of damp air – but never more than one. Okay, maybe two in a row every now and then when a particularly bad cold gets to me – but never one of those desperate fits that racks the body until the sneezer is out of breath and in dire need of a tissue to wipe their streaming nose and eyes.No matter what I try – pepper, or twisting a tissue up my nose to irritate the lining – I can’t seem to accomplish my goals of experiencing, just once, a truly helpless fit. It frustrates me no end, and I long for those glorious eruptions to pour out of me, one after the other, unable to do anything but respond to the needs of my body. Then those who do get to experience this wondrous reflex to the utmost – they complain about it, lamenting their allergies or sensitive nose. It’s unfair, isn’t it?
Dye Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 This drabble has seriously just described me. :'D Please, keep writing, you're a wonderful writer!
