On a train going into work yesterday. I'm standing but on a seat opposite me sits an attractive, smartly-dressed blonde lady in her early-mid 40s. She seemed to sniff and then the next moment was searching in her handbag. She produced one of those rather nice Atishoo handkerchiefs (blue summer wave - I know because my partner has one), and unfurled it to a decent size. She blew into it (wetly rather than loudly, but it was loud enough) and then put the handkerchief back into her handbag - although she didn't close the handbag, so the handkerchief remained there for all to see.

An elegant lady and a very pleasant start to the day.

This must have been fun to watch! I've never seen an Atishoo hanky in real life. I bet she enjoyed showing it off! Thanks for reporting.

Well, it was the very comfortable way in which she unfurled the handkerchief (unfurling in a lady is always very attractive, I think) that was striking. Clearly an elegant lady who likes stylish accessories and is quite happy to show them off.
