VoOs
I've... sort of fallen hopelessly in love with this book character, Christopher Tietjens from Parade's End, to the point where I just had to fetishify him in some manner. Even if it made me blush like mad and I couldn't think of anything interesting to do with it. Tietjens is one of the most adorably flawed characters I've encountered in fiction. Hopelessly buttoned-up, conservative and stubborn, yet gentle and sentimental. He's also very, very British. And my Anglophilia is showing.Mäh. Maybe I should stop trying to explain the reasons for my fangirling, and just smack the picture up, how about that?*smack* (click for full size)I feel a bit terrible for giving a cold to a character who already has bad lungs to begin with. But not terrible enough to stop. Edited September 4, 2012 by VoOs Link to comment

Mmmmmm, a gentleman and his handkerchief. <3Even better, an *English* gentleman. Now I'm reminded of a series of postcards about Britain drawn in a similar-ish style sometimes I think. The British brain with its custard and patriotism and black pudding... Link to comment

count tiszula
Beautifully drawn! Do you mean this is based on the books and not the current series? Cause I have been imagining some uncontrollable sneezes from Miss Wannop myself, and after tonight's episode where her all too brief crying scene left her turned-up nostrils flaring.....well, you know..... And cumberbatch in white tie! Link to comment

And cumberbatch in white tie! This is Tietjens as I see him in the books, yes. As much as I love Mr. Cumberbatch's portrayal of him, he is still way too slim and angular to suit my inner image of the character as he is described in the books. Fatsuit or no fatsuit. Valentine's design, on the other hand, I shamelessly copied from the lovely Adelaide Clemens. She's such a doll. And yes, her nostril flaring... I don't usually pay attention to that kind of stuff, but damn... her nose might just be the cutest I have ever seen. *bites lip* Edited September 8, 2012 by VoOs Link to comment
