Sneezing and national or folk traits

I read a comment anywhere, that Russian women sneeze open and powerful,

in other hand most German women stifle sneezing. Do you agree about it?

I know a lot of German people. I found almost half number of German women

stifle or try to keep back sneezing, but other 50% female just let out sneezing.

I personally think, that most of the British stifle or repress sneezing much

more than the German.

Do you find any national or folk characteristics about sneezing?

I've never noticed! Though maybe I just don't enough foreigners...

My guess is if there are any patterns they might be determined by what it socially acceptable in that country. Maybe?

Wow. Stereotyping even extends to small details like sneeze behaviour.

I agree with this, and to the OP if your observation is correct there goes my hopes and dreams of a Daniel Radcliffle sneeze.

Hmm...I don't really know. I'm American, but I haven't really noticed a particular sneeze pattern in our country. It differs pretty broadly.

To be honest, I agree with this.

I think what I've noticed most is that coming from a very diverse city is I've observed that asians seem to stifle a lot and have quick stifle fits. I'm glad that someone else thought of this too cuz I was wondering if i was just crazy.

Japanese people cover with their hands and it drives me NUTS! Vampire sneeze, guys, vampire sneeze! Y'all might catch less colds that way, if only you'd try!!

(I'm pretty tolerant in terms of cultural differences, but here I draw the line. Especially since I'm a student and my school has a crazy attendance policy...)
