Hedgehog
In the description of the adult boards is the sentence: "You must be ranked at least 'Newbie' or higher to be eligible."Somehow I find that a bit confusing, because it seems there is no rank called "Newbie" in the membership ranks. Could someone please explain that in a way a puzzled little hedgehog can understand it? Link to comment
Enkidom
The Newbie rank, hedgehog, is a holdover from a time when the validation process was somewhat different to now. It used to cover a validated member who had less than 50 posts. As 50 posts is now the minimum number at which validation is considered, validated members bypass newbie and go straight to poster. It basically means that one of the requirements for adult board access is having passed the validation process. Link to comment
