Secret Santa?

I have no idea where this post would go...but I see so many people do this..how does this Sectet Santa thing work..? What, u just pick a person and write a fic or draw something for them...? I mean it sounds no different then doing a request fic or drawing...

It was organized a few weeks ago. People are matched up with other writers/artists and they write them a story or make some art based on that person's preferences. Just like a Secret Santa in real life, you don't know who is gifting you until you actually receive the gift.
