These are all among my favourites too!

I'll throw in an obvious one as well:

Band Aid - Do They Know It's Christmas?

I don't know any of those except the one Joal mentioned. (Am I showing my age again? Or just out of touch?)

My top 10 in no particular order:

1. Little Saint Nick- The Beach Boys

2. Jewel- her entire Christmas album

3. Mary's boy child- Boney M

4. Santa Claus is Comin' to Town- Bruce Springsteen

5. Pretty Paper- Roy Orbison

6. Last Christmas- Wham!

7. Christmas Lights- Coldplay

8. White Christmas- Bing Crosby

9. Blue Christmas- Elvis

And of course 10. Grandma got run over by a reindeer santasmiley.png

And one I love to hate- Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmas Time. (It used to play every 12 minutes when I worked retail and I wanted to sob after the 4th time it was on.)

Now, I must answer this one too!!

Hmm, my favorite 'non-traditional' ones are:

'Let's Make A Little Christmas Tonight' by Phil Vassar

'Christmas Tonight' by Dave Barnes and Hilary Scott

'I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas'

'Merry Christmas Baby' by Christina Aguliera

My favorite 'traditional' ones are:

'O Holy Night' So many different singers nail this one!

'White Christmas'

I'm totally going to make a blog post about this, so that one will have more details and links!

Varpunen jouluaamuna (translated lyrics) even if I otherwise wish to keep Christianity out of my Christmas.

Most of the Christmas-y songs that I like are traditional Finnish or Swedish songs (= more on the folk music side of things, not all of it but some and the rest is just about as modern) or children's songs and thus kind of silly compared to the American pop songs, lol.

Noooooo too early!!!!!

22 days from now, on the day after Thanksgiving, when it becomes appropriate to start playing Christmas music, I will highly recommend Straight No Chaser's version of the 12 Days of Christmas.

It is hilarious.

Nooooo that one's on my favorites list (that I will come back and write later I'm too tired to think).

Once November begins, I start playing Christmas songs :P

I just really love the merry, festive cheer it brings. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Limiting myself to top 5

1. Merry Christmas Darling- The Carpenters

2. River- Joni Mitchell (I love rdj's cover of it though too)

3. War is Over (Happy Xmas)- John Lennon (Maroon 5's version is magical as well though)

4. Christmas waltz- I don't have a preference on who sings this, I just love the song

5. Little drummer boy- Bing Crosby & David Bowie
