hankyhonk Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Hi allI know it's a crazy thing to admit but I find ironing hankies quite relaxing and therapeutic. That's handy actually as I use them all the time and so always have a few to iron.I can't stand using an unironed handkerchief to me they just look scruffy.I do wish there were more sightings of people using hankies though, it's so rare these days.CheersHH
Ricksneeze Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I'm the same as you hankyhonk.check me out on youtube under nose blowing rph
snuffle-bunny Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I iron my hankies! There's nothing quite so luxurious as having a good blow into a freshly ironed and still warm hanky.
CharliesGirl Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I generally dislike ironing, but I do love ironing my hankies! All my cotton ones obviously need it, but my flannel hankies come out of the dryer looking good.
launderedlace Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Oh yes, I do find ironing hankies therapeutic! For me, there's a big part of that process that's centred on the satisfaction of renewing and restoring: when sneezed or blown into, a pristine handkerchief gets 'ruined'. However, through washing and ironing, it's entirely possible to get that handkerchief back to a state of perfection ... if only everything else in life was so easy to fix! Within this, and again it's an entirely personal take, ironing a handkerchief that I see as especially beautiful is additionally fulfilling (have to be careful not to damage any lace with the tip of the iron, though!)
