My conversation with an AT&T Customer Service Rep (M)

My cold has been getting worse! On my way home from work, I was on the phone with AT&T Customer Service and the person I was talking to was from Louisiana. Let’s call her Lisa. Throughout the call, I must’ve blown my nose at least 4 times. Just a little bit soggy, but mostly loud. Since I was driving, I had to blow my nose with one hand and I had a Bluetooth in my ear. Because of that, I was essentially, blowing my nose in Lisa’s ear. Before each blow, I warned her that I was going to blow my nose and after each blow, I apologized to her. Well, after about my 3rd nose blow, she was silent after I apologized to her. This is how that conversation went:

Me: Sorry for blowing my nose in your ear again.

Lisa: (after she came back on the line). Oh, that’s okay. I honestly thought it was a motorcycle going by.

(we both laughed)

Me: Well, glad to know that when I blow my nose, I sound like a motorcycle. Sorry again for being so loud. Stupid cold!

Lisa: It’s okay. I hope you feel better!

Me: Thank you

After that, I blew my nose one more time, then I hung up because she helped me with what I needed.
