Hi, I am quite new here and I noticed that there is a red number above right of my chat button. However when I click on it I can't access my messages. Is there a way that I can read the chat notifications please?

The number you refer to denotes the number of people who are in the chatroom at that moment, rather than chat notifications for you personally.

At your current level of membership, you are not able to access the chatroom and you may therefore find the thread about How do I get validated? of interest.

Thank you - that does help. I had read the validating post but wasn't sure about the chat room part. Thanks for replying so promptly.
