I feel the two of them are always so badly represented - Holmes mistaken for being cruel and callous (which he is most assuredly not), and Watson for being unintelligent and a bumbler (which is also ridiculously untrue). Captain Hastings from Poirot - far too pure for this world, lol. Bertie Wooster from Jeeves & Wooster. His friends manipulate him all the time and he really just deserves so much better.
