The cough that won’t quit

The cold has gotten into my asthmatic chest, and it feels like just one solid brick of mucus in there. I cough and cough, a sort of barking seal cough, until I’m wheezing and gasping for air, at which point I have to use my inhaler, but I can’t clear the mucus.

That's terrible. I don't have asthma but I can guess how awful it must be on top of a persistent cough. I hope you feel better soon.
