Chhinkni usage tips

Started using chhinkni lately. I put some powder on a plate and snort it through each nostril. The issue is that while quite a bit of powder goes in and I sneeze a few times, most of the powder is clumped together. I blow my nose after to see big brown clumps come out.

What's an effective way to diffuse the powder so it becomes more effective and I use less of it each time?

I've seen many people on here recommend putting it on a q-tip, and then inserting the q-tip and sniffing it/tickling with it to make sure the powder gets higher up to the right places.  I've used a soft paint brush the same way.

When I have fresh flowers and I sprinkle some into the flower and take big sniffs.  I'm not allergic to flowers, but the scent of the flowers, the powder, and the imagery of pretending its the flowers making me sneeze is BY FAR my favorite way to use it.  Same could be done with a feather, for example.
