Same, honestly. there's a few furry vtubers I like, and a lot of other ones. Most of the time it's just kind of fun to watch on it's own.

I really enjoy vtubers sneezing! I am glad people share clips of sneezes on youtube. It is fun to me watching how models get more advanced and the face tracking for sneeze moments becomes clearer to see. There are some models that are insane to me how smooth their motions are.

 

A vtuber model also gives literally any person freedom to be a character that they want to be. Whether or not the vtuber chooses to use their natural voice or not is also cool to me. It makes me imagine what would happen if some of my all time favorite Disney or anime characters were able to stream in real time.

 

The vtuber niche can be very odd to people that have not watched or know of any previous vtuber content, but the overall vibe and community that vtubers have with their chats is fun to me.

Uhh with your eyes and judgement? This is a stupid question. How do you know if strangers sneezing in real life are 18+?

To be fair I'm 100% an audio girly more than a visual one so as long as the sound is one that I like, I'll enjoy anything lmao. Sometimes it's better than watching someone unattractive because you can almost imagine who you like 🥲

This is a stupid response. Anyone could be behind a cartoon. And if someone posts a wav with no video, I don’t listen if the age of the poster isn’t clear. So, the question stands.

I like vtubers and have been watching them since before the pandemic started. Vtubers exploded when the pandemic hit because of the mandatory stay home restrictions many places had. Before the pandemic there were some vtubers but not a lot. Off the top of my head I can think of...40-60 names out of everywhere online back then. Nowadays there's over 10 thousand individual vtubers out there and the number is growing higher.

Many Vtubers are known by their previous online history. Some voice actors or singers from over 10 years ago want to try something new so they commission artists to do a model for them. The vtuber named Monarch is an example, she's known as Amalee and other names from long ago.

Vtuber model designs themselves are expensive. A standard nice looking model will cost anywhere from 300 dollars to around 5000 dollars depending on the amount of detail the model has. Vtubers are nowhere near as expensive as new cars, but they have a similar effect. The money barrier is a massive turn off for a lot of adults to never get a nice vtuber model done, let alone underage teenagers and kids.

Any vtuber that is under an official company has to be bound to that company's contract. One part of that contract is age over 18. Hololive is one example. No matter if a vtuber is English or Japanese or Indonesian, every individual Vtuber has to sign Hololive's contract in order to do any kind of music or video.

 

When a vtuber is independent and does videos on their own, it is similar to online content in general. The vtubers usually rely on exposure from multiple websites to get more well known. Twitter/x, instagram, tik tok, tumblr, twitch, youtube, one vtuber will be in various different locations online. It takes longer time to search with newer vtubers.

There is no basic "I am 29" or "I'm in my 50s". There's nothing stopping a man to voice a beautiful Jessica Rabbit type of model design or a lady to voice a Batman like design XD
