Out family visits some distant relatives for a party every Easter, and while I love them and all, it’s very difficult for an introvert to make smalltalk for six hours without collapsing from social exhaustion. Carpet is a pain to keep clean but it's soft, wood floors are so beautiful and if I could afford it I would redo my whole house with them, and rugs come in so many varieties that can be so beautiful! Tile is just...meh.
