saw this on tiktok. Apparently it blocks nerve endings in your nose to stop allergies. No idea if it works tho https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGJQsq3sM/

So I’ve done some digging and it seems that Botox is the active ingredient used in this treatment to prevent hay fever symptoms.

The annoying thing is that almost all the info I’ve seen so far comes from cosmetic clinics that sell it alongside conventional Botox and laser treatments.

I’ve found a PubMed journal article, but I’m flabbergasted that this was studied at least as far back as 2016 yet this is the first I’ve heard of it despite how groundbreaking it is and all the mainstream news sources only reported it in the last few months, yet other sources say it’s been available for years!

It seems to be effective in a lot of cases, but it doesn’t seem to work for vasomotor rhinitis which mimics hayfever, but is a physical irritation of the nose from things like smoke, perfume, cold temperature, spicy food, etc rather than a true allergic reaction.

Seems like my allergies have been getting better as I’ve grown.  When I was young I’d have really bad allergy days but my main symptoms was asthma and not really sneezing.

Thats good.  Mine had seemed to have gotten worse as i grew up
