It's funny how it seems so obvious to make them both sick and yet... why does the idea never enter my head? I love that Sam is still semi-taking care of Dean despite feeling crappy. And Dean kind of ignoring the fact that it's happening. I like the simultaneous coughing. It makes me think of simultaneous sneezing. P.S. IS YOU SIGNATURE REAL? The sooner Dean can convince Sam to take some NyQuil, the better. A loopy brother is a compliant one. Step two; get Sam into a bed. Which, considering his brother’s enormous size, is a difficult feat. Sam isn’t one for taking naps, but once he lies down he’ll be out for hours. And finally, step three; getting Sam to admit he’s sick. The hardest task of them all, but Dean always manages to work it out of him one way or another. It’s a big brother thing. Prompt 31: Calculating Fandom: SupernaturalCharacter: SamWord Count: 100The kitten is orange and white, and about the size of Sam’s hand. Out of the corner of his eye, Sam sees it calculating the jump, tail flicking back and forth, and then he has a lapful of tiny orange fur. He bites the inside of his cheek, tries breathing through his mouth, but the itch in his nose is instantaneous. His breath hitches; he regains control for just a second, until the cat mews softly. “Hahh-HITSHOO! HFFF-hhkxt!” The kitten jumps a foot into the air before darting under the couch, leaving tiny holes in the leg of Sam’s pants. Prompt 72: Floor Fandom: SupernaturalCharacters: Dean, SamWord Count: 144Sam opens the door of the Impala to a sea of white. He pulls the sleeve of his jacket over his hand before pushing the used Kleenex from his seat to the floor, then climbs in behind the wheel. Unfortunately I've been so busy that I haven't been visiting this thread lately, but it is definitely one of my very favorites. Your interpretation of Sam and Dean's voices and mannerisms is perfect. I can honestly see any one of these scenes playing out in an episode.The three steps to handling a sick Sammy are awesome. And I love how Sam's always the one with the cat allergy. It just seems so very Sam. And the sea of white piling up in the Impala? Fantastic imagery. My favorite sick Dean is the Dean who feels crappy enough to sleep in the Impala, lets Sam take the wheel, and sneezes when he talks. THE LOVE. And "Floor," with the used Kleenex EVERYWHERE and the pulse-check and the gentle teasing and then it turning out that they've stopped because DEAN USED all the Kleenex. Sam approaches her hesitantly. She’s pulling a cat out, shoulders slumping when another person passes her by. “They’re cute.”She jumps at Sam’s voice, then holds out the kitten, chocolate-colored fur gleaming under the sunlight. “Do you like cats?”“Y-yeahhhh…yeah. HTCHCHishhoo!”Five minutes later, Sam slumps back, red-nosed and watery-eyed.
